Good morning all.I am having trouble with my travel insurance. The company I have been with doesn't recognise PRD as an umbrella term for all sorts of different issues, and lists each of them separately, and then won't cover any of them, or anything that might happen that is related to any of them.
Does anyone know of a travel insurance company that covers pre-existing conditions and covers PRD? It would be good to hear, as I'm determined to go abroad still without the worry that if I became ill I wouldn't be covered for treatment.

I've not had a problem getting travel insurance. PRD isn't recognised and I'm trying to remember if I just put radiation disease. I'll check and get back to you on that. It's worth calling a few TI companies to ask what they recognise and get them to help you complete the application. Good luck. We all need to get on with life as best we can whilst working on living with the after effects of PRD 👍
Thank you Jimbo65. It's reassuring that there are TI companies put there who would cover me, and I would be interested in knowing who you use.I think it doesn't help that I'm awaiting a urethral dilation, and they class that as ' 'awaiting a procedure'and are really being difficult about it.
I am insured with the Post Office, was reasonably priced. Let me know if you want me to send you a copy of the policy directly. I know I put in pelvic radiation disease in full, rather than PRD.
I recently took out travel insurance with InsuranceWith. I was pointed in their direction as they specialise in providing insurance to people who’ve had cancer without it being eye wateringly expensive. They didn’t list PRD so I had to speak to them rather than completing online but they were really helpful and lovely to deal with. The premium was very reasonable compared to others, I just ended up with a slightly higher medical excess than the rest of my family (I think mainly because I’m still within 5 years of a cancer diagnosis) but was still covered for everything. Overall cost was about £300 for a family of 5 for 2 weeks in the US (we’re in the UK) which was a fraction of what other companies were offering. Definitely recommend them - good luck!
