Hi just checking if I’m on the same boat..

After having 25 rounds of radiation and 3 internally..

I have two CT scan after the treatments because I had some issues and to be clear of recurrence that’s the only way to know..

Also I had one more CT scan before my treatment and operation..

My question is how many is too much?

But is the only way they can find for a recurrence? This in USA..

What test do in you countries to check for recurrence on a Uterine cancer.

Thank you for read me 😊

Hello Fulana. I live in the USA. I have had too many CT scans to remember. I have been cancer free for 6.5 yrs and my hematologist recommends a CT scan every 2 yrs. Another test that I had done was a PET scan. This is a pretty interesting test. I also had a full body scan. Other than those I'm not sure of any other tests. I have a terrible reaction to CT prep. It gives me terrible diarrhea. Best to you.

It very much depends on your type of cancer and spread when you were diagnosed. I’m three years into a clinical trial for a new anal cancer treatment regime and have only just dropped from scans every three months to every six months. I know it sounds a lot but I find it reassuring.
