Hi all,

This isn’t an exhaustive list but these are a few late effects clinics I’ve found by searching google. I’m sure there are more and I’m aware some are for people who had childhood cancer but I thought it may be useful.

Sheffield - publicdocuments.sth.nhs.uk/...

Leeds - leedsth.nhs.uk/a-z-of-servi...

Bath - crpsandcancerlateeffects-ba...

Taunton - somersetlmc.co.uk/tauntonra...

Derby - uhdb.nhs.uk/latest-news/sup...

Scotland - beatsoncancercharity.org/th...

Gloucester - TBA

South Wales - Helen Ludlow has a clinic for GI effects through a gastro or gynae oncology clinic - couldn’t find a link but based within Cardiff abs Vale

Virtual MDT for health professionals to use for advice - fabnhsstuff.net/fab-stuff/n...

I have just updated the lists as UCLH will only accept referrals for childhood cancer patients.

Most late effects clinics require a referral from a healthcare professional (such as your GP) and may only take patients under certain circumstances (for example they may only take patients on the basis of their original tumor site).

Some clinics are not publicly 'searchable', so if you are interested in finding if there is a late effects clinic near you, please do get in touch and provide the following details:

time since radiotherapy

PRD symptoms

your location

your original tumor site.

Hi Sarah,

Apologies, I included uclh as I didn’t want to assume people on here were of a certain age or had cancer treatment only as an adult.

Great people can contact PRDA for more specific advice regarding the availability of late effects services around the country as I know it’s a question that comes up a lot in other support groups 👍🏻

Thanks very much for this. It's good to know they're out there if the need becomes more pressing.
