I love them. Worlds oldest true tree. In plant Identification class we had the chance to smell the female tree. Yuck! You’d never believe how bad it smells! We sell quite a few of them all male of course! I love that they drop their leaves in fall so quickly makes cleanup easy. It’s a glorious yellow while it lasts.
I've never actually seen one but I used to take the supplement! 😁 I know they date back to before the dinosaurs which is absolutely incredible. There may have been more trees that we will never know about thanks to the loggers in the Amazon Rainforest 🤬
They are quite popular street trees here in Michigan. They throw a lacy shade you can plant perennials under and are easy to grow. Very sturdy and pollution tolerant too!
