Yesterday I had felt really cross over the news and had spent the day doing some self care like getting into a great book, listening to music and a walk outside I found all helped burn out the anger and resentment caused by the current situation!

Talking to people is a great thing. :-) I enjoy talking about a lot of different things with a lot of people. We talk about hobbies, their day/evening, plans for the weekend, etc.. :-)

I plan to have leftover quiche for lunch today. Might have some Greek yogurt on the side with it. We have some new yogurts we just got today from the store pick up area for our weekly orders that had been put in online.:-) Do you like quiche? The ones I have are made using brown rice for the crust since I eat gluten free.

Hi Dogmad600 , I'm really glad you've joined the community. I'm so sorry to hear that you can't get out of the house and it's fuelling your anxiety and depression. This community is great to talk with people from all walks of life about anything that helps with positivity. What sorts of things can you do at home that interest you? There is a monthly reading group on here healthunlocked.com/positive... that you could join, or post about anything you like to cook or eat, or if you are interested in painting/crafts, etc. Asking for suggestions on what to watch on tv or read could help too. I hope this community can help! We're always here!

I like listening to radio watching tv and mindfulness and I do enjoy reading I just want to talk to people but don’t always know what to say?? Hope this community helps

It's ok if you don't always know what to say :) People use the community in a variety of ways. Some people like to write about what they did today, some people like to ask for suggestions on what to do/read/watch/eat etc. I try to share a new recipe I've cooked or am going to cook every week and see if I can get inspiration from other's responses. There are some really great artists on here as well that could maybe inspire you, you never know! Feel free to share anything you feel comfortable with and you're bound to get lots of responses and spark conversations :)

To be honest when the covid first hit it didn't bother me much because of my anxiety but now im starting to feel it. There were little places I liked to escape too that are having a hard time with this. Hopefully it goes away soon!

This is a long winded post. I know this may be a long shot but have you ever considered care work? The care sector always needs warm flexible folks willing to actively make a difference. You can apply on the skills for care website, job descriptions are available on there too. Link is below.

If you have the right mindset and required skills, then you will go quite far in your role. The number of people working in this field changes constantly. Have a look at this website which has a lot more useful information on what to expect day to day too.

skillsforcare.org.uk/Career....

I hope that this is useful. Even better no qualifications are needed. If you are looking for a position in which you can improve your people skills, this is a ideal career. Just remember it is not about the money however far from it. I strongly recommend that you find out if the career is right for you first though. Use the information on the site to guide you in your decision making process. There is also a helpful quiz too which might be handy.

Good luck to you!

Nope never thought of that

thara9643 in reply to Dogmad600

Try it to see what happens. The links and resources which I provided are a starting point for doing further research. The care industry requires more disabled folk.
