Should only be allowed to buy fireworks for bonfire night and then only at organised events. I'm lucky they don't bother Archie but some really scared.

We had people banging pans etc

My cat was frightened by the clapping 🙄 lots of people bashing pots and pans, he came flying indoors!

I don't begrudge the clapping outside or the saucepans but the fireworks I think are a bit much.

I agree, clapping and saucepan banging is enough. Caught me by surprise last night, but I joined in. Must admit, having got used to the quietness of the streets, it was rather an assault on the ears!

Nobody wanting to stop people having a nice time but is it really okay to scare my dog with fireworks so much that she runs into a cupboard shaking and won't come out for ages. Sorry but it hurts the animals so its not okay.

I don't begrudge the clapping but the fireworks are a bit much though.

Yes, I meant fireworks, they are so loud, especially the ones that sound like an explosion, or bangers. Dogs hear a frequency range of 40 to 60,000 Hz while a human range is between 20,000 Hz so this can be very frightening and uncomfortable for them.

We have an elderly ginger tabby who doesn't like loud noises!

What a good idea(banning clapping that is) if it's only for people doing the job they're trained for. I bet a lot of the workers are highly embarrassed!!!!!....and so they should be

They fortunately don't bother my current dog but they bother me! When it gets dark enough it's late and I'm in bed!
