I was in communication with a friend yesterday and the subject of Dante's work, The Divine Comedy came up.
So today I've chosen a quotation from that. For those who don't know it, The Divine Comedy was written as a narrative poem by Italian Dante Alighieri and is an imagining of a journey through the afterlife, as it was understood it might be, in the Middle Ages. Sounds awful? It's not. It's a hefty read but can be very inspirational.
The quotation I'm using was written as part of the illustration of coming through Purgatory and Inferno, to Paradise, but on re-reading some of it last night, I discovered some words that are very relevant to our current situation:
"If you can always offer a reply, so readily to others," said all three, "then happy you who speak, at will, so clearly. So, if you can escape these lands of darkness and see the stars on your return, when you repeat with pleasure 'I was there,' be sure that you remember us to men.

Take care everyone and I hope we come through this and see the stars again, very soon. Have a good day and please all stay safe.
