I've been wanting to post some things on the other community - AFIB - but words just don't come easily about the self-isolation reasons. Thank you HealthUnlocked!

A very warm welcome to you DesertDeuces,
You are just as welcome here if you want to just read posts, but of course we'd love you to join in. The words don't matter. Just write what you are feeling and/or ask any questions you might have, or ask for some support. No-one will judge you here. We aim to be a safe and happy forum which includes as many people as possible. Please feel at home here. Take care and keep yourself safe. Best wishes.
Hi there, is your AFIB well controlled. I think for some people they can find it difficult to express what they are feeling in words because the situation is alien. To sum up how you are feeling to strangers can be difficult some times. You can say as little or as much as you like. If something is on your mind, worrying you, or you just want a question answered, the community is very supportive. It is also here for information, ideas, a chat or a bit of fun to pass a bit of time whilst you are self isolating. Join in when you can. xx
Very lovely of you folks to reply to my post! Thank you!
AFIB is pretty much under control, thank you.
As days progress, the world outlook is scary. I sure hope for the best for Mr. Boris Johnson, as well as Prince Charles. God bless all in these bleak times.
Coping: As a working 73 year old woman, I don't mind staying at home too much. But, even for a person who loves solitude like me, it does get unnerving at times. Especially so when I see other residents of this large apartment complex walking close together, neighbors taking their kids out for walks.
I have a question: We have a community laundromat here. I need to wash my clothes. But as days go by, I'm getting quite nervous about going in there, even when it's empty. I decided to sanitize everything with alcohol (no sanitizers available), and place a large piece of plastic on the floor in case I drop some of my clothes.
Does anyone have this same issue?
Hi Desert Deuces good to have you here.
As far as laundry is concerned using the washing machine is fine we are told- as long as you use hot water wash program.
I can understand your concern about the actual laundry room. If it were me I would take a piece of kitchen paper, wet and soapy to just wipe the control panel on the machine before use. If you have wet wipes they would work and you could then wipe your hands before you remove your clothes from the machine and place them in the dryer.
Best wishes,
Ellj
Ellj ideas are good. It may be a good idea if the washers and dryers are close together and the room is small to only allow one person at a time in the room unless they are family and/or living together already.
Thank you for your replies and suggestions. I just got permission from the property manager to use the laundry room in off hours. Since I work on the property, I have my set of keys. She said it would be better if I used the laundry after it's locked for the night. I can lock myself in and go to town doing my laundry in peace!!
