just checking whether the PMR markers blood tests had been done or in (no) but noticed the triglycerides are high… 1.92…. they haven’t been high before (been on pred 12 months) why would that be? I’ve managed to get my sugar one back to normal (was almost pre diabetic a few months back)

Triglycerides high…

The lab's reference range is up to 1.90 mmol/L, you are barely over that but the lab computer will automatically flag it as outside its preset range, 1.89 or even 1.90 wouldn't have triggered the red flag. So I suggest you look back at previous results to see if it has gone up significantly.
It is also one of the side effects of pred and some other medications - what are you on?
Hi, I’m on 5mg of amlodipine for high BP, Pred 4.25, calcium and D3, 75mg aspirin , I also take cod liver oil, biotin, K2… I’m supposed to take 20mg of statins, but I rarely do…..
Then maybe you should revisit the statins rather than relying on the cod liver oil. Why don't you take them?
I was prescribed the statins and aspirin when I was was first diagnosed with blocked arteries. Since then the scans etc have shown there is no plaque or calcification present (presume inflammation or scar tissue) I hardly take the statins as I worry about the side affects especially Alzheimer’s as my mother had it. I have taken cod liver oil for about 10 years for painful knees which it has stopped the pain completely.
There is NO link to Alzheimers - don't believe everything you read on social media!! In fact, a big review and meta analysis found a REDUCED risk of Alzheimers!

Very difficult to not take notice of the amount of hype that surrounds every medication or procedure, especially when you take so many! Will study the link you sent! Thanks
