happy to report that after all the stress & worry over hubby over the last few months re his spinal stenosis, and then all the hassle with the travel insurers last week, we’ve arrived at our gorgeous Singapore hotel en route for Melbourne and he’s doing really well!

Well, he was, until he broke a flaming tooth off on the flight yesterday. Never a dull moment - huh! But I reminded him how long he’s had those teeth - and what is a little gap in the mouth?

A free day tomorrow but our flight to Oz is on Wednesday morning.

Keep well peeps and if I don’t post again before Christmas, all the very best to all my friends on here for a happy and healthy Christmas 🥂🍾🎉

Oh, thank you so much Koalajane. That’s really nice of you 😘

There was several times over the last few months I didn’t really think it would happen but, hey, we’re here, and I can’t wait to get to Oz to give our lovely people the biggest hugs ever🥰

A happy Christmas to you and yours too.

That's a mixed start but I'm sure he'll survive!! Enjoy SIngapore and Melbourne when you get there and have a lovely Christmas.

Good luck!. Bon Voyage I have followed your journey closely. We will set off on New Years Eve. To NSW via Abu Dubi, I hope it is a happy trip. Very, very hot according to my granddaughter. X

Have a great time. We will be in Singapore this time next year, God Willing. Have booked a cruise from Singapore to Brisbane sailing 19 December. Hope to spend 3/4 nights in Singapore. Interested to know what hotel you stayed in, haven’t booked one yet. Been to Singapore before, love it. Enjoy

Thank you. SheffieldJane. We’re here at our Singapore hotel ready for ✈️ to Melbourne in the morning.

Our daughter lived in NSW before moving to Melbourne. Quite a contrast in the weather there.

You too have a great trip. x H.

good news, I loved Singapore, I was out there while serving in the Royal Navy for a short while. Beautiful place. Safe onwards travel, & enjoy. Merry Christmas, S x

Oh, when were you in the RN? Hubby was here in the 60’s. We visited Changi prison & museum a few years back: very humbling place….

1975 - 1979…left to get married! Remember bringing orchids home for my Mum…it was December then, too! S x

Ah, you’re just a “young ‘un” then. Jeff joined the RN at 15 years old in 1961. He had the very best times (until he met me of course as a holiday romance in Spain in 1971 🤣)

Fortunately he’s still in touch with a few of old oppos.

I’m 68, but sadly feel 98 right now! My husband served 27 years…the pension is great! S x

Singapore is so good....I was there in April this year and would go back tomorrow if I could! Beautiful and so clean....I felt completely safe walking around sightseeing, so much I could recommend seeing and doing, but looks like you could be short on time so at least try the coconut ice cream from Mr Coconut Ice shops...delicious 😋 ! Enjoy all your fab trip.

Thanks Lonsdalelass. Will try & check the ice cream out on our way back. x
