Methotrexate before & after Covid Booster ??

I have not been able to find the Post where this was previously discussed.

I take Methotrexate on Wednesdays and have Covid Booster plus Flu Jab booked for Saturday 5th October.

What is the advise please? do I take the MTX - Wednesday before? Wednesday after? OR neither?

Hi,My rheumatology departments advice is to continue MTX until your vaccination and then miss the next 2.This is to ensure you get the highest level of protection from the jab.

You do the one before and miss the 2 AFTER the vaccination. That's because it is about 7-10 days before the immune response really sets in and that's when you don't want an immunosuppressant around.
