What an astute observation this is that I just read in a post from a while ago. So very true, that is how I got where I am now. 'Take the tablets and carry on as normal' has been my mantra for a long time. Damage from my childhood has always made it hard for me to 'give in'.Thank you for this concept, it is the only way forward, I see that now.

you are right...but so difficult to behave well...whenever I feel better I push ahead that bit too much and then find myself collpsing later in the day, or even the next day.
Must be catching, another one seems to have left. Perhaps it's the same one?!
I’m the worst for it , I’ve trained in martial arts of various types for 50 years , I just don’t no when to stop , the last 9 years with PMR and RA plus other immune issues has paid its toll on me . Since I had both my shoulders repaired I had no choice but to slow down , now my knee’s and ankles are not happy. I do wonder how long I have left on the mat, I’m starting to use my voice more now than my body, but still love what I do.
