has anyone tried these to help when tapering? That all seem to be based on orange juice, coconut water and a pinch of salt?

adrenal cocktails
Isn’t the aim of the cocktail to calm down your adrenals? Probably another bright idea from someone so they can write an article.
This link implies not -and the “cocktails” are probably aimed at those individuals who don’t have immune suppressed system. .but just want to try the latest trend…

Think the pinch of salt is the most important ingredient 😳🤣😂
Keep your money in your wallet -and stick with a good varied diet…
Sound like a bit like a Piña Colada. My feeling is that we are needing to try to get the cortisol producing process to work by itself. Every time we add artificial steroids or kick starters (if they work) we are messing with a system that has a fine balance and needs to work as a whole. The steroids is a necessary suppressor. Later lack of cortisol may not be the glands themselves but the process of detection of a low and appropriate signals being sent. If whatever remedy is potent enough to really influence this we are playing with fire and if it isn’t, it’s a waste of time. Only my opinion.
Sounds like the recipe for a homemade electrolyte replacement drink for patients with diarrhoea ...
I don't see what cocktail you are talking about but I agree with piglette! I followed a suggestion to be sure to have either a good breakfast or a smoothie with plenty of protein and so forth in it if you don't feel like eating in the morning, which I often don't. A shot of protein every couple of hours -- don't wait until hungry.
DL put a link to a Cleveland clinic article about them - they are probably an internet "cure" for "adrenal fatigue" (that doesn't exist) that people are bandwagoning.

Always useful read the replies - not just the original post. 😊
Totally agree with Paulagcl re protein. It really works for me, whether it's an egg, handful of peanuts, avocado. Stops me reaching for the carbs and gives me an energy boost.
I keep a couple of hardboiled eggs in the refrig for a quick protein hit.
I was looking at the ingredients in a product in the pharmacy that claims to enhance hydration and lo and behold, it has sugar in it. It's really easy to make our own smoothie kind of drink to get both fluid and nutrition. i make a smoothie with a fruit juice, a plant based protein powder, a little nutritional yeast, a handful of berries if I have them on hand, and fresh parsley and drink this mid afternoon when I have an energy low. It seems to help.
Hi..I have very low potassium and was recommended to drink orange juice and coconut water by my haematologist. They certainly haven't helped with my PMR as I am currently in the middle of a really painful flare on 6mg. Pleasant enough to drink..but watch out for the sugar content!
