Met with the care home today. I am not sure if we’re further forward or not. They are trying to design a protocol for sick day rules but will only take from the latest endo / GP guidance which doesn’t go into the details. The endo’s aren’t precise as I guess everyone different ….

So I had to negotiate the number of type 7 stools she should have before extra pred. I got them down from 3 to 2. Negotiation like this doesn’t feel like clinical decision making 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

Endocrinologist has said she can go back from 20mg to 10mg in one hit even tho last time she had shaking episodes and in the past led to a BP of 99/60 (she’s usually 145/80).

As for her GCA / PMR it doesn’t even get a look in - but I’ll not be taking her below 10mg so I hope that keeps it at bay.

We have covid vaccination coming up - the last 2 have caused problems - no-one told me in advance but she should double dose for that so 🤞🤞🤞

Thank you for your support xxx
