I had my six month checkups and sometimes had to be numbed for a crown repair etc. There was never a problem. An extraction goes pretty quickly. It'll be over in minutes. You'll be fine. I assume your dentist knows you are taking prednisone so don't give it a thought.Good luck.

This appears to have been meant as a reply to someone but it has come up as a new thread, so is a bit meaningless.
Just so you know, I was sent a letter asking me to answer a question re dental work and prednisone. I pushed reply and answered as I was asked to do. What happened after that is totally out of my hands.
