starting pred on trial

Good morning everyone. I spoke to my doctor yesterday and I’m trialing pred @ 15 mg for a week (starting today) to see if it impacts on the pain. I will the see if the pain returns after the trial. This will give a strong indication whether it is PMR. Every day a big school day at the moment.

hi,

Hopefully it will…. sometimes a week is not long enough - but should give some indication.

Useful to keep a diary on how things go.

Do hope it works. 15mg for one week is a bit tight, despite the myth that PMR always responds dramatically like that. There are a few of us where we felt the difference in hours - 6 for me, overnight for others. But it sometimes takes a bit more or a bit longer.

It worked for me in less than 24 hours. Good luck.
