titrating down Prednisolone

Titrating down your prednisolone becomes more problematic the lower the dose you are on so the reaction can be more profound, e.g if you are on 4mg for example & you reduce 1mg that is actually 25%. I titrate down 1mg every 6 weeks & have found I am having ‘withdrawal symptoms more than before so have not been able to titrate down this time unfortunately. However that may mean that my body needs the dosage I am on for now. I must mention that all this is under the guidance & advise of my GP & Consultant. Don’t try & work it out on your own.
