I couldn't resist sharing this. Without the extra pred, this wouldn't have been possible.
P.S. This is what pred 'enabled'!!: I couldn't... - PMRGCAuk

Wow what a lovely photo. You look FANTASTIC.
Stunning Kendrew absolutely beautiful 😍
Handsome couple!
congratulations! You both look lovely. Xx
Fabulous picture.
Congratulations!
Brilliant!👏
You made it! So happy for you! One of the most important occasions in a mother’s life is seeing her son married 🎊 and you did it so well! 🥂xxx
Fabulous-what a lovely picture. 💐
What a lovely photo. How do you stay so slim? And not even a hint of a moon face!
Haha!.... hard work!! I eat a low (but not no carb diet).... unless its my sons wedding!.... and then I gorge on everything that's put infront of me! 😄 I go to the gym for gentle exercise and I do some yoga. I'm also now normally on just 3mgs of pred.
Well it’s working for you! I look forward to the time I can manage on 3mgs. I’m tapering (for a second time) to 9.5mg but struggling to keep my weight down. I do try to keep carbs down but it’s hard! I’m thinking it may be an idea to ask fellow PMR sufferers to share their favourite low carb meal to help others (me!) get some ideas. Maybe it could be a similar offshoot to the gardening. What do you think?
Why not!...... I'm sure most of us would appreciate some low carb menu ideas, if only to add some extra variety.
I for one love a salmon steak, brushed with olive oil, baked in the oven for 15mins and served with a salad made up of spinach leaves, cucumber, avocado, red pepper, tomato, and a few green olives.
Hi Kendrew, ah the memories! Love your outfit! Super pic of you both! Our youngest son married aft 20yrs together on Fri 1st Sept. Their 9yr old son was Best Man! I was whizzed round the dance floor in my wheelchair! I walk with aids at home but not ready for dancing. So pleased you had such a wonderful day! Snap! Now enjoy the photos! Theyre now in Lanzarote for a " family moon!" Lots love & best wishes xxx
That sounds absolutely wonderful too...... and whizzing around the dance floor in your wheelchair a huge amount of fun. Well done to you too. I'm hlad you had such a lovely day too. Congratulations to your son & wife.
Absolutely brilliant 👏 xx ps I want your hat!
Lovely photo. Could only be your time spent in Yorkshire that makes you look so good!
Paddy
Lovely photo!
Congratulations , now that’s what I call a result 👍🥳😀
Brilliant! You look fantastic, what a great result! Congrats, S x
Lovely 👏👏👏👏
You both look fab!
Lovely couple congratulations. You did the right thing Kendrew for YOU the Rheumatologist hasn’t got a clue what the difference it made on your day. X
Lovely - I think you should send it to your grumpy rheumy. And explain life is too short to dispute the use of a few mg of pred to enable such events. My memories of my daughter's wedding are fare less pleasant as I was recovering from what was probably my worse period. I shudder looking at the pictures that they managed to catch me in - I did a fairish job of avoiding most of them!
I definitely intend to bring it up as I have an appointment on Fri. Whats the worst she can do?.... slap my wrists??
Strike you off? Would be doing you a favour ...
Life definitely too short. My younger brother passed away unexpectedly yesterday.
Oh Telian!I'm so very sorry to hear that. I send you my deepest condolences and love.
So sorry - Virtual hugs xxxx
I'm never sure which is worse, suddenly and unexpected or after a long illness. I'm inclined to choose the latter because everyone suffers for so long with that and it is still horrible at the end even if you knew it was inevitable. Suddenly leaves you dazed and confused - but you know they didn't suffer.
I am so sorry for your loss.
Lovely photo!
Absolutely fabulous! These significant moments in life are worth more than a couple of extra mg of pred for a day or so. ❤️🥂
What a beautiful photo of you and you look so well!
You look radiant and what a lovely couple photo. One for a photo frame🤗
Congratulations 🎊 on a gained daughter in law🤗

Kendrew, beautiful photo and very handsome couple you look wonderful, Harry x
What a lovely photo Kendrew, you look amazing, and so well
Thankyou. I feel quite tired now but no more than anyone normally would so I'm very happy with the outcome.
It pays to plan ahead carefully before any big 'event'.....certainly in my case.
Without the knowledge gained and information & advice shared here, I would not have known to even try to tweak my dose of steroid for a few days over this period.
