Sick day rules

What are the sick day rules? I haven't been sick yet but among other things, my doctor hasn't mentioned what to do in this case.

In order to support your Adrenal function which cannot respond to stressors whilst taking Pred by increasing cortisol as required, we are recommended to increase our dose of Pred for a week or two during significant illness ie more than the sniffles. My Endocrinologist advised me to double my current dose during illness or a period of significant stress. You have received advice and been given the link from the FAQs- but you should be aware they are UK guidelines, and from comments on here previously, not sure the US has anything similar, or is even aware of them. So you may get a blank look if you mention to your own doctor.
