I get a strange cold/burning sensation in my hamstring muscles after exercising and especially after stretching. never had this before PMR, so it is PMR related? Weird!

I've never experienced that and can offer no insight, except that we all seem to get different aches and pains with PMR and pain from tendons and ligaments seem pretty common.

If it were me, my first stop would be to go and see a sports physio for an assessment and explain that you have PMR. That will help you to decide whether you need to go to the doctor or whether it is something that can be managed with the right exercises and self care. It was a physio that first told me that I needed to see a rheumatologist and in retrospect, I think they already had their suspicions about my diagnosis. A good physio will tell you directly if the problem is beyond the help that they can offer.
