Just a follow up on my questions about the timing and taking of more than my usual 5mg pred prior to this charity event in aid of MIND…..
I had no need to worry, I was up at 4.30 to be at Druridge Bay in Northumberland on Sunday 24th for a run/walk into the sea at 7am with 1,500 other people supporting this wonderful event. Many people I spoke to were suffering from mental health issues, as well as physical anxiety and all being together helped, rather like being on this forum.
By 9am I was eating a cooked breakfast overlooking the sea and feeling euphoric, swearing to do the same next year! I must admit an afternoon nap became a 3hour sleep and I definitely felt weary and aching on Monday. BUT pushing myself out of my comfort zone made me see there could be life after PMR.
I am still getting a buzz every time I see the newspaper coverage and the drone pictures of the event, check it out and maybe I will see some of you lovely people there next year!
