Looks like I'm going to be short on leflunomide as there was a mix up with my prescription. Waiting to hear back from my doc, but was wondering if this is something that I could skip for a day or two. Any advice? Anyone else been in the same situation? Thanks

short on leflunomide
I think it is probably like methotrexate, you can stop it at short notice. And if I remember rightly, if you have been on it for some time, it doesn't clear out of the body for a couple of months. If there is an emergency they have to use some special medication to clear it out. You should be fine for a few days.
This link is for women wanting to have babies but the info is the same for everybody!!!!

"People eliminate medication at different rates. In healthy adults, it takes about 10 weeks (2 and 1/2 months) on average after the last leflunomide dose for most of the drug to be gone from the body. However, the manufacturer of Arava® says that for some people it could take up to two years for the drug to leave the body. Treatments exist to help get leflunomide out of the body."
My rheumatologist just stopped my Leflunomide for my hip replacement so I think you will be OK.
I went on holiday without some pills - don’t ask! I went to a pharmacist who told me to google 111 emergency prescription 111.nhs.uk/emergency-prescr...
You follow the instructions and the pharmacist is enabled to give you cover for the medication you need. It was a fantastic and speedy service.
Good news! It showed up. I only missed 2 days. I gotta tell ya, though, these mail order druggists can be a little dicey sometimes.
