Need advice
Would say could be a side effect of adrenals struggling -see this -

Maybe stay at 7mg for a bit longer to allow them to catch up -and then following one of the slower tapering plans -and only 0.5mg a time. .. linked below-

But how is your blood pressure? That can also cause dizziness
Thank you Dorset lady I've read link and explains a lot . I going to buy an blood pressure kit today and keep an eye on bp.
I guess I am throwing another idea in the mix. I have been a little dizzy and lightheaded recently. I also noticed a very slow heart rate, bradycardia. So naturally, I asked if prednisone can cause bradycardia and found that it actually can. Is this a symptom you experience? Of course, a slow heart rate makes you feel fatigued and lightheaded at times.
I am going to speak to my cardiologist and rheumatologist about this. Always something with prednisone.
Really sounds as if your adrenal function hasn't woken up yet - not surprising at the dose you are still on. I would certainly not taper further for the moment until you feel better.
Is the lightheaded feeling constant or is it related to anything - doing more, after something demanding, eating? Do you feel anything else besides the light-headedness?
I will stay at 7mg for now and I'm you g to buy a bp kit today and keep an eye on bp. I've also lost weight which my gp has put me on a weight management course I've managed to loose 21 pounds so far but do struggle with diet
I did pass out when I got to adrenal wake up time. Luckily I managed to do it with lots if people around, the plus was that people were there, the downside was I caused lots of attention and embarrassment!
Hi, my mum started passing out when she got to 8mg. It was always in the morning prior to the pred getting into her system and perhaps coupled with overnight dehydration. We now give a small amount of the pred at night so she has some cover plus fluids when she wakes for the loo.
Her current dose is 10mg and endo recommended 7.5mg am and 2.5mg at night.
Thank you for reply, I might try taking a low dose at night and see if that helps. I don't want to pass out again it's left me so sore.
