Diagnosed with temporal arteritis Nov 2021. Finally off prednisolone 2 weeks ago. Seem to be getting worse throbbing than when I started. 1. Is this usual? 2. Will it improve?

Hi
In your previous post I said I thought you had reduced much too quickly -and I’m still of that opinion.
Had your GCA run its course you shouldn’t be getting the symptoms you describe.
In my view -
1. No they are not normal -and
2. I doubt they will improve without going back on Pred.
You may only require a small dose as a trial - but you need to discuss with doctor ASAP.
As it’s the weekend, I would ring nhs111 for advice…
