Can you give me some advice regarding my husband. He is 81 and suffers from COPD and has home oxygen 24/7, He has been taking 5mg of prednisolone since last December then since then he has twice been admitted to hospital when he is given 30mg. At the moment he is taking 12.5mg. Do you have any advice on managing his condition and the prednisolone.

You might get more advice on a forum specialising in COPD - see this link -

Although we do discuss prednisolone a lot on here, it’s management is different to those with COPD and we probably don’t have enough expertise to advise on your husband’s situation.

But if you have any queries about side effects etc we can help..
