By which time they will have to postpone it ... It really is ridiculous!

So I thought what's your problem? Then I looked at the year, again, and simply can't repeat what I thought!!

Wow Griggser, how ludicrous is that! Wait times here in Nova Scotia are unreal as well. Follow-ups even worse. It's been very stressful as I cannot reach the Rheumy between appointments (which are few and far between and then I get nowhere with her anyway). Hopefully, you will level off and not need the appointment in a year's time. Cheers!

So many of us between the devil and the deep blue sea, either micro-management, enforced tapers, or no medical input. They should be grateful we inform ourselves and look after ourselves as best we can.

oh dear!! I had a painful wrist and phoned rheumatology nurses, within three weeks I had a call from the registrar, an appointment to see her at which my rheumatologist popped in to check up on me. Steroid injection; bye bye carry on as you are. Who knows when I’ll see them again but I was impressed with the attention they gave me. Probably helps I’m already in their system and not a new patient. Who knows? I’m not advocating that route but it helped me when I had a real problem so hopefully you keep well until July 2024!! 🤞🤞

I just see my Doctor as PMR is obvious to diagnose although ivadnit more tricky to treat. My Physio knew what it was on a 2 min telephone call when i had never heard of PMR and told me to get blood test and then see Doctor. Went onto 15mg of pred which worked within 6 hrs. Now tapering on 10mg do far so good but i am prepared for a flare but this horrible illness will.not beat me.
