Rheumatologist in Surrey

Hi all

Thank you all for all the help and advice on this group, I remember reading about a recommended consultant in Surrey think Weybridge or Woking, I am thinking of moving on from the one I have now but want someone in place as I am still on 17 and half and 15mg alternate days of prednisolone, started on 30mg in Dec for GCA, she tried to taper me down to 12 and half Mg in April but my temple pain started up, she now seems to want to get me down as quickly as possible as am getting quite a few side effects, her bedside manner is terrible and I pay £200 for it each time, I know it’s complicated but when I first went on pred she said probably 18 months to two years and now the most important thing is cutting the dose, I would love that but not to the expense of having the temple pain or loosing my sight.

The consultant I’ve heard mentioned seems to have a real understanding of GCA
