At 5mg you are just getting to the point where adrenal function must wake up and start to produce cortisol again. Until now pred has replaced it but for a time the pred is not quite enough and you are a bit low. That can cause fatigue and dizziness.

Could be sign of adrenals struggling (see this link) - but have you checked your blood pressure -

Could be a combination of both then…but if it is adrenals suggest you slow down on the tapering and give your adrenals a chance to catch up…

A low blood pressure is a common problem with adrenal problems so sounds like what everyone else is saying.... Slow down and let your adrenals do so catching up.

If it’s adrenals I wouldn’t increase - you’ll only have to come down again, and similar is likely to occur..

Give yourself longer on 5mg - a month or so…. really no rush at this level. In fact for adrenals , the slower the better….

I found being on 5mg a bit like 10mg. Needed a longer stay at that dose to come down successfully. After 5mg my reduction steps were slower and def no more than 0.5 at a time. All sorts of strange things pop up but not necessarily linked to pmr/pred. We get older!
