what do we do when being physically sick

Morning all

I’ve been vomiting all night and have been at a bit of a loss as to how to take my pred and mx. I ate a biscuit and took the tablets and just hope they stay down. What do others do?

A problem I've not had thankfully but as long as they stay down for an hour they will be absorbed, especially on an empty stomach. Being a bit late isn't the end of the world, If it were to persist a few days then the GP should oblige with an injection of hydrocortisone but whether they would agree is another matter.

PMRPro has said it all. Commiserations Sue. I find vomiting quite an ordeal now I’m older and it happens to me fairly often with diverticulitis . If I think I’ve lost my dose, I take extra and of course sick day rules, dosing. My autoimmune disease sits politely in the background until it’s over. Get well soon! 🪻🪻🪻🪻🪻🪻🙏

I have a tablet I put under my tongue which stops me immediately. Mind you I did have norovirus last year and nothing stopped it and I ended up in hospital within 12 hours really in trouble.

I know that pred tastes terrible but chewing it before swallowing it will help speed the process of it getting into your system.
