One thing I hope for in 2023 is to one day see or hear in the media etc a reference to PMR or temporal arteritis. It is hard having an “anonymous” disease. How many times can one be corrected…Do you mean arthritis? Fibromyalgia?

Best to keep quiet and just deal with it, but that doesn’t help with the need for more research or even increased knowledge of the disease in the medical profession.

There is actually a fair bit of research going on - and several appearances in the UK media over the years, Doc Martin, the Daily Mail, have both done bits a few times.

Good to hear. Not aware of any research in Canada. My rheumatologist is retiring and has had trouble finding a new dr. for me that is well versed in PMR….
