The DL and DSNS tapering systems have been mentioned in posts. What are these systems as am having difficulty getting down from 10 to 9 pred. Have read that if you can reduce your adrenal glands kick in a bit with natural steroid.

What specific problems are you having with reducing? If it’s just stiffness and pain as mentioned in your bio then that’s because your PMR is objecting when you try to reduce -not adrenals which you mention.

Your adrenal glands will gradually start to produce natural cortisol as the pred dose falls - but not usually until rather lower than 9-10 mg although some people do start to notice the lower dose even at that dose. But the control of the inflammation of PMR is as important in reducing the dose and some of the symptoms of PMR and low steroid levels can be quite similar.
I found below 10mg I needed to reduce by just 0.5mg every four weeks, but you may find that you can manage 1mg. You normally start asking your adrenals to start waking up at around 7mg and start noticing any symptoms at around 5mg or 6mg, although a lot of people never have any problems at all.
