Back from holidays and,Monday a appointment with my doctor.

Back from a lovely holiday and feel as if I have had a good rest from everything.

I got myself some Camomile tea, took it twice a day and after a week no panic attacks so I am going to continue with it.

On Friday tea time I had a telephone call from my doctor to say she would see me on Monday morning to discuss my problems.

Can I please ask a question ,should I mention about adrenal problems, as I have read on the forum this sometime can have an effect on how we feel.

Thank you to everyone who has helped me ,I really appreciate it as I know I am not judged.

Glad you enjoyed your holiday and great that the panic attacks have disappeared. I have some camomile tea on the shelf. I think I will start drinking it again to help bolster me up against the loony behaviour of some of my family😀

I can't see any harm in introducing adrenal gland problems into your discussion with the doc if they don't mention it first but think I would describe my symptoms first to see what they say.

" I think I will start drinking it again to help bolster me up against the loony behaviour of some of my family"

Maybe THEY need the camomile tea? ;)

Do you think you are having any symptoms from adrenal problems? If so I would ask about it. If not you can always ask her about what you might expect.

I seem to be very tired all the time and I have noticed my muscles in my legs and arms are not as strong , if I walk a lot they ache .

You mean afterwards? In which case you could try 2 or 3 shorter walks with breaks between.

Or during? Does it stop you? How does it recover?

today it was while I was walking and, we stopped to have a ice cream (yes I know it’s cold outside) but it was still there until I got into our car and it stopped.

I am now on the settee and it feels fine

Mmm - so it starts when you are walking and improves when you stop? Where is it - calves?

I go to the gelateria all through the winter - and we get minus whatever here ... Sun has to be shining though.

I am definitely not as strong since getting PMR. Both in my arms and legs. I do go swimming to help improve my muscles though.

I have just had a thought 💭 could my moodiness and being irritable have anything to do with my adrenals

Possibly - but at 5mg for so long either they should be recovering a bit or it is enough as a replacement. But should be checked out.

so it could be one of my questions I also mentioned to piglet could my moodiness and been irritated have anything to do with them, (I bet your ice cream tastes better than ours)

Adrenal insufficiency could cause you irritability, but so can a lot of other things. Did you tend to be moody in the past? My sister reckoned no one would notice the difference when I told her that the steroids could cause mood change!

Blackcat1M profile image
Blackcat1M in reply to piglette

no I think I have been like this since starting steroids so maybe nothing to do with adrenal’s.

thank you DorsetLady I have noticed that this last year I have been more irritable but I have had more things happening.

Operation, kidney infections, covid and shingles so maybe all these have not helped
