Prednisone and sulfasalazine at the same time

Prednisone and sulfasalazine at the same time. I was diagnosed with PMR by my Doctor he prescribed prednisone which did the trick Started at 20 reduced to 15 then to 10 and I am now taking 7.5 I feel some discomfort but nothing like without the drug prednisone the information hit me 15 February 2022 and I started prednisone April 13 then in July I started to see a rheumatologist and he thinks I have rheumatoid arthritis I told him I would like to get off prednisone as soon as possible he prescribed sulfasalazine starting at 2 g a day increasing to 3 g a day regular bloodwork indicated decreasing hemoglobin count so I cut back the sulfasalazine to 2 g a day and my hemoglobin count went back to normal so I guess my question will be is anybody else taking sulfasalazine and prednisone at the same time

Hi....I will be in a week or so. I have PMR and was tapering (6mg atm) Had a massive flare almost all over my joints .Just saw rheumatologist yesterday she had me scanned and diagnosed RA. She gave me a choice of MTX or Sulfalazine along with upping my pred to 10mg until it kicks in.

I am going to choose the latter as I like a drink and MTX messes with the liver. If you want to message me in,say, a couple of weeks I`ll give you an update
