Sulphites

Thank all so much for your answers to my question. Yes I think stress is a big factor with PMR, I am having another painful flare up in my arms at the moment and clutching at straws as I am back up to 6mgs of Pred again after getting down to 2.

I am relieved to hear none of you think it’s the wine as I do enjoy a glass. 😊

I had had PMR for 5 years before I was offered pred - my best times were always evenings after a glass of wine with dinner!

I find that my system on pred is not good at dealing with stress; I suppose because it takes over from the adrenals and we no longer produce our own cortisol, so if stress levels rise our cortisol levels don't beyond what the steroid makes available.

I am so please to hear PMRpro enjoyed her glass of wine with the evening meal as so do I and, indeed, feel more relaxed for it.
