So if I am down to one mg does that mean my adrenal glands are working?
I have been tired but I would not say it is fatigue! My head had felt like it is in a bubble at times.. Brain fog is much worse.
what do y’all think
Thanks

They are working to a certain degree, otherwise you would feel a lot worse than you are…but not up to full capacity as yet, that may take a while longer.
Have a look at this -
Almost certainly working enough for every day - whether they are able to respond to a real emergency or serious illness is another matter. The synacthen test shows what potential reserves they have - but not whether they actually will respond whichever signal is sent. Only experience shows that. And it is thought it takes up to a year after stopping pred altogether to settle down.
when did you begin prednisone and what was your taper_? sounds like you are on track!
Nallen11 I’m on 1.5 mg of pred having been on prednisone for almost 3 years. I too have fatigue but I am able to exercise and I have pain late in the day and sometimes early morning stiffness especially after busy prior day. Also have the brain fog you mentioned. When my hip pain affects my sleep I find Advil a big help. Sounds like our experience is typical!
