Does anyone know?
Generally How far behind real time can/do inflammation markers lag?
Is it the same for ESR and CRP results?

Probably similar question to how long is a piece of string! 🤔… and unfortunately the standard reply is, it’s depends on the individual and their particular brand of the illness.
Not the answer you want, but there isn’t always…
My markers seem to have no link with how I feel.
Ditto to what DL said!
You would expect ESR to track CRP because CRP is a protein that contributes to the rise in ESR - but it depends on the person, in some people one or the other rises in PMR and some both or neither, They are also so non-specific it could be misleading anyway. In some people they will start to creep up as soon as the pred dose is even slightly too low - in others they can be weeks or even months behind.
It is a good reason for a doctor to monitor them ongoing and for you to keep a record so you know what YOURS do - because that is what matters.
