new drug Lefluamide

Its a while since I've posted,slowly tapering and rejection of methotrexate after nausea.

Following a return of stiffness at .4.5mg Pred rheumie persuaded me to try Lefluamide. After a trip to Italy where Rheumie allowed me the luxury of raising Prednisone dose to 9 mg I started the new drug. I have tapered to 5 mg and been on Lefluamide for a month.

Fingers crossed all going well. The only side effect is soft or loose stools. Rheumie assures me this will improve.

Any way feeling positive. Have others experienced this drug and how is it working?

This isn't a criticism, but you might like to change the spelling: leflunomide . That should bring up other posts about it in the related posts which only work with the correct spelling, (like google)! It will also help others recognise what you are asking about.

Did you have a good trip to Italy? Where were you? Hope it wasn't too hot - been a bit cosy here this year ...

Uurrgh. I've never got my head around the name and spelling of all these drugs!We went to a wedding in Gattinara near Milan where the locals treated us like family. It was wonderful and then on to Genoa and the Cinq Terre. It was hot but being Australian ok for us. The temperature soared after we left. I feel sorry for those with crops around Liguria.

Not just Liguria - our crops up in the mountains are struggling too. Our end of the region is not desperate yet but the west is.

Where are you located? We are considering a three month stay as we had such a good time and La Spezia and Le Grazie are two of the places we are investigating.

I'm right up in the north, a couple of hours north of Lake Garda, and close to the Austrian border. All that is best of Italy and best of Austrian/German culture mixed - the region is predominantly German speaking, which is why we chose here, and belonged to the AustroHungarian empire until the end of WW1. But the majority still don't identify as Italian.
