The backs of my heels and lower calves have always been sore to touch firmly with PMR. Sometimes feel the same in my thighs - I think it is areas where there is myofascial inflammation or the attachments of the tendons/ligaments are inflamed with the PMR

Sort of general or specific areas of your ribs? Could be costochondritis

I did wonder as I’m doing new exercises but holding off for few days

Or a pulled muscle in that case - but yes, give it a few days rest

What sort of pain around your ribs? Is it only painful if you touch them?

Is it both ribs all over or a specific spot?

I have this sort of pain in my upper arms, thighs, and calves starting from my knees. I also sometimes have numbness in these areas, arms to the tip of my baby fingers and lower legs to my toes. I wondered if this was a Pred side effect or PMR itself.

Yes I have had tender spots on legs under inside of knee area, tops of arms , back shoulder areas and thighs . Very tender and sore when slight pressure applied. This has been for years now, I have had PMR for 7 years.

Yes the bottom half of my legs especially on the outside were very tender when I was on higher dose of steroids but not as bad now I am on a lower dose. The only thing I still get is a burning sensation in the same area if I stand for too long.

Yes, in my ribs and sternum, wrists. Following muscular injury in my calf (upper and lower) I have developed these painful sites in my ankle too. Note my diagnosis is Stills Disease which manifests as RA for me. My physio says it’s Enthesitis.

I have this all over me - I think it is either PMR or fybromyalgia- not sure - but I get it everywhere all the time! Good luck and it really hurts xx

Every once in a while I get one—searing pain in different places, in one spot. Sore to thr touch. Doesn’t last long, I attribute it to overdoing something or other, I never know exactly what.
