I am back down to 9mg and have begun to realise that the jump to 8mg over a 5 week programme is too quick for me. Would you say that going to 8.5mg over the next 5 weeks is better than trying to reduce to 8mg over 7 weeks or should I even go 8.5 over 7 weeks? Don't want to go back to 12mg again. I think I know that slower is better but would be nice to hear what you think. Thanks!

Reduction advice
I have found that under 10mg a reduction of 0.5mg every four weeks is a good rule of thumb to go by. It may mean slowing down when you get to around 5mg or 6mg if the deathly fatigue hits you.
If you’re not sure, and concerned then plump for slowest taper with lowest decrease…so 0.5mg reduction over 7 weeks.
Got it in one - the slower the better! If you aren't happy/sure - slow down. It isn't a race.
As the others have said .It's not a race.Just reduce by .5mg if your body can't handle it.I have been going slow to 4mg but I have had to go back to 5mg because my headaches and vision got so bad .I have a lot going on in my life at the moment so it's probably stress and weather taking its toll.
Morning, In general terms I use a five week taper and .5mg reduction but if I don't think things are are OK after five weeks I'll extend the time until I feel comfortable. I had been down to 3.5mg but because of an odd niggle or two and with a few fairly stressy weeks of work coming up I went back up to 5mg for a few weeks and, now, just started my downward journey again, 4.5mg this morning. There is no rush and I'm under no pressure from my doctor.
