I can not believe what a mess I'm in. At the advice of my rheumatologist and pulmonologist I started taking 40 mg pred for five days to deal with the residual symptoms from my covid infection. After the 5 days I reduced my dose to 15 mg (no taper). None of us thought it would have the effect it did on me. I ended up in Immediate care this afternoon because I could barely walk and felt very sick. After a ton of tests (which only showed some minor issues) and a call to my rheumatologist it was decided that it's probably a bad PMR flare and I should feel better by Monday staying with the 15mg pred a day. It is a relief to know that there isn't something more serious going on and I sure hope the Dr is right about feeling better in a few days.

I haven’t heard of this thinking before. Did they explain? Poor you, what a battering. I hope you recover soon.
You would have thought if it were a flare they would suggest an increase in steroids from the 15mg.
You have been through so much, hope you get it all sorted out soon.
I just got a call this morning. I also have a UTI! I asked them to run a test at the last minute just in case and I'm glad I did.
Hope you are in much more comfort.
