Is the jaw pain in GCA like cramp

I had jaw pain that felt like cramp about a year after starting GCA. No symptoms originally. I was told it was tmj but it diminished after an increase of steroids back up to 10mg. It was combined with an U/S showing new inflammation. This may not help you but its my experience.

It can be. I sometimes get that.

It is like cramp that starts when you are chewing - and then eases off when you stop.

Mm thanks probably was cramp quite painful Rubbed it then got cramp in arm 😂

Seam to bee going though a campy period🥹 taking high dose magnesium to not a lot of avail zinc vitamins D

Then speak to the GP - might be something other than magnesium, that's a first thing to try. If it doesn't work - GP time.

Mine was 4 years ago now, but I don’t recall it as being like a cramp. It happened whenever i ate, & I thought it was a sinus infection. It was much worse in the morning & in was unable to eat until the afternoon

Yes I agree. Same symptoms. It also felt like a muscular pain.
