Hoping 5mg will be enough

Hi all..after 2 weeks on 5mg with 3 days at 10mg as per PMRpro suggestion ( thank you for that PMRpro ) I am feeling much better although not completely symptom free.This is a re-start dose after being off for 7 months and a return of symptoms.Still a little stiffness and mild pain in both knees. My ESR has gone from 39 to 25 in 2 weeks. Do you think that continuing with 5mg will keep being effective or should I increase to 10 again just to try to speed things up again. I have a review appointment with my GP in 10 days time where I guess we will discuss whether to continue as I am or increase the dose. Thoughts would be much appreciated. Many thanks.

It's a good start - maybe another 3-5 days at 10mg and back to 5mg would do the trick and speed things up?

Yes..that's what I was thinking. Might just do the trick to get on top if things. I would like to feel good at 5mg and would be comfortable to stay at that for a few months before even considering reducing. Will do the 10mg for a few days and then go back to 5 before review appointment with GP. Thank you for your input. Very much appreciated.
