Hi.its me again,was just wondering when I start,tapering,been on 10mgs now for 2 nearly 3 months,so shall I start now and what should I go to.thank you.

Hello, Flosys. I see that you've asked this question previously: the answer remains the same. If you have no PMR pain reduce by no more than 1mg which will take you to 9mg and stay there for a month before thinking about a further reduction. Did you ask to be prescribed 1mg tablets?

But with your previous issues I might be inclined to use a slower taper - just one example -

Always be guided by your symptoms. If you are feeling flexible and relatively pain free then begin to taper no more than 10% of your dose. I had a pill cutter at your stage and went down by half a 1 mg tablet. Have a look at tapering in FAQs for methods. Pause if your symptoms begin to creep back in a persistent way. Remember to pace your activities at the same time - have plenty rest. Be prepared for your Adrenal glands to begin to struggle at around 7 mgs this can add fatigue and aches to the symptom picture.
