Dare I hope?

I joined this wonderful forum just over 2 years ago when I was diagnosed with PMR. After the typical roller coaster ride of very slow tapering and then increasing pred after flairs, I have been off pred for just over a month.

So far so good. My leg muscles feel incredibly weak which my consultant says can be caused by steroids. I am really stiff after sitting in the evenings. It takes a little while to stand up but that goes away within a minute.

Just thought I would post this as we can all use a bit of good news and also to say thank you to everyone who has helped with information, ideas and support. I am most grateful to you all.

Fingers crossed no relapse…

All the best - but don't try to go mad over Xmas!

Thank you for this advice and all your help and support over the last two years. I will most definitely take everything easy. I feel quietly optimistic but concerned about what still could happen.

Well done and good luck. I also have muscle weakness and will be starting a course of physio and exercise after Christmas break.

Well done. Gently does it probably apt for quite a while but you will be well practiced in patience by now. Getting up every hour or so in the evenings can make a difference with the stiffness - just a shame to move if you have got comfortable!!!!

So happy for you. Still pace yourself though especially over Christmas. Well done you! 🎄x
