I am currently on 7.5mg Pred and after four years not likely to be off it any time soon. I have been taking Pred with breakfast between 9-10am. I would like to try taking it as early as 6am but really don’t want to move breakfast with it. What can I take with Pred to do just enough to avoid any stomach problems, while not increasing calories or carbs too much? If dairy is the answer, I love cheese but not very keen on yogurt or milk.

Small piece of cheese okay- half a banana? Plain biscuit? Enough to give the digestive juices something to work on.
I made myself a small piece of toast with a cup of tea when I was getting up at around 2.30 to 3am to take with the pred. No problems with that.Paddy
I have approximately 25g of hard cheese, apparently Swiss hard cheese is preferable although I often have comte one of my favourite cheeses.
I have a small banana. It can be left in the bathroom - no fridge required - with my pred which I dispense ready into a little medicine cup and have a glass of water ready. That way I don't have to wake up too much and can go back to bed!
I have a small handful of cereal with my Preds at around 7
