Sound advice as always..

Dear Dorset Lady and PMRpro, thank you for your advice on tackling a flare a few weeks ago. I increased my dose of 3mg to 8mg for 10 days and felt great. I felt like my old self again with hardly a twinge. I reluctantly dropped down to 4mg on the 11th day. As expected on the 14th day I felt as if I had flu with major joint ache. However, I toughed it out suspecting steroid withdrawl. I am now relatively pain free age permitting and stable on 4mg. Thank you both for your guidance. I did have a moment of clarity through all this in that I am more accepting of this condition and if a flare means having to

revert back to an increased in dose then so be it . Quality of life is way more important. .. So thank you again and not forgetting everyone else in this forum calling out Mrs Nails, Snazzy and Kendew who provide great incite and make me laugh along the way...
