Anyone got any experience or views on grounding sheets ?

I came across grounding sheets on a feed somewhere. Never heard of them before. It is literally some form of sheet that can conduct and it’s plugged in like an electric blanket but just uses the earth node. Made an immediate assumption that they probably were a bit faddy and not based on science. But liked the idea that they may reduce pain and inflammation so I thought I’d put the question out there ( or rather here ) to see if anyone has any views. I note that they have attracted some positive reviews from this organisation regarding complementary medicine:

As article was written in 2004 and they have never been discussed on here in the ensuing years, I think you probably have your answer.

The study had only 12 people in it which is my biggest concern and I couldn’t see if they stated how many men and women made up that 12 since they make a comment that effects are greater on women. So I would need an explanation for my poor brain as to why it just doesn’t act the same as a lightning conductor for ionised particles. A lightning conductor works by earthing so that ionised particles have a path of least resistance so go down it preferentially. If the sheet is doing the same, does that mean the particles in the body will flow down the earthing cable but any other particles around as well that will pass through the person who is earthed? Any scientists out there?

Maybe best not to try it out in an electrical storm ...

Used them in our business to lose static charge so that we didn't damage any electrostatic computer parts. I do tend to get shocks off cars and hair that stands on end if I wear manmade stuff.

I wouldn't sleep without mine. It makes a huge difference to my pain levels. Read "Earthing" by Clinton Ober. I believe in giving anything a try and this works for me!
