Up and up - !

So, I had a telephone appointment with my Asthma consultant who is a really nice person. Not many people know I have asthma as I have had it all my life and am 70 in December.

I've been getting a bit short of breath (not noticeable to anyone but me and my wife) so spoke with the Consultant about it and he upped my dose of Prednisolone from 7mg - 20mg a day! My shortness of breath has gone but in a month he's calling me again and then I start a taper again.

I don't mind but have lost 10 pounds in weight since Easter and am almost back to my usual self :) I am on a diet and actually love it. Just salad, vegetables, all bran, fruit and pulses.

Consultant said I may be able to have the Xolair injection treatment or a brachioplasty! I'm up for anything.

He also told me all about a heart x ray I had a while back and told me (in depth) all about it and said it is all superb. My GP said "It looks alright" when I first got the result.

Anyhow if anyone has any experience of my issues please let me know :)

David

This all sounds pretty positive. Add in some homemade soup for the cold weather. My voracious appetite returned the minute I moved to a GCA dose of Prednisalone, it’s a curse.
