Good evening. Semi-diagnosed with PMR yesterday after eight months, multiple rabbit holes and tests. Normal inflammatory markers. Right shoulder subdeltoid bursitis on mri. Classic sudden onset and immediate positive reaction to steroids. I think my diagnosis took longer because my shoulders didn’t kick in until recently. I was tested for MS, ankylosing spondylitis (still maybe on the table) and RA. My RF has been elevated in the past but normal now. Inflammatory markers have been slightly elevated for years but have been normal since the onset of this craziness. I also have Sjogren’s. Joy! I fired my last rheumatologist so will begin again with a new one as my PA is not comfortable treating this alone without an expert to consult.

XyliMelts are marvellous for the Sjögren’s dry mouth. Welcome to the site. Is Pred doing its magic?
Good morning or evening/night for you, welcome to the forum and I'm sure there will others along later. There is a lot of information regarding PMR and the experiences of the forum members on the FAQ's, section if you fancy an evening of informative reading.
Already digging in…😀
Hi and welcome,
If it is PMR, then maybe have a read of this - if you haven’t already -
Welcome and believe me you will get better information on this site than from doctors! Even my doctor said so!! I wish you all the luck and no question is too big or too small. (I sound like the Paw Patrol!) There are kind and knowledgeable people on the site. Good luck. Glad you are getting some relief now. Be super kind to yourself. search The Spoon Theory. I think it helped me a lot to explain to people what the heck was going on.
In the UK PMR is often managed by the GPs - a good PA should manage OK if there are no hiccups.
