Rheumy consultant at Queens Hospital

Further to my post last week about the lovely consultant I saw at Queens in Romford his name is Dr Omar Farooqui. His secretary contacted me today and she is going to arrange for me to see him to have injections for bursitis.

I'm under the care of a Dr Farooqui at KGH for Cardiology. Also a lovely considerate Consultant - perhaps they are related? I had a wonderful Consultant Rheumatologist at Whipps some years ago - unfortunately he decided to opt out of NHS and only does private work now I understand. Good luck!

Thank you for this post. I live not far from Romford and I guess that my GP could refer me if required (my previous rheumatologist in London being useless). I'm so glad to know anout him.

I've searched again. I think you are right. Different First name and family name spelt with a 'u'.
